Women Run the World

Every year the World Athletics (Track and Field) Championships happens in Eugene, Oregon and every year we just can't get enough! We’re taking a moment to look back on all the amazing women athletes who competed hard and inspired girls and women in sports across the world, including our very own VIS Mentors: distance runner Elise Cranny and sprinter Kendall Ellis.

This year the best track and field athletes from around the globe made their way to Eugene, Oregon for the 2022 World Athletics Championships in July. This was the first time that a world championship was held in the United States for outdoor track and field.
