NEW YORK, May 6, 2026 — VOICEINSPORT (VIS), the digital platform dedicated to keeping girls in sport and building future leaders, today announced the launch of the VOICEINSPORT College Mentor Program, presented by She’s Connected by AT&T. The new program introduces 50 college athletes across sports as VIS Mentors on the VOICEINSPORT platform, expanding access to mentorship for youth in sport while creating new leadership, income, and business-building opportunities for athletes.

VOICEINSPORT Foundation and founding partner Momentous launch the VISF Grant for Women in Sport Science Research to increase women-led studies and center girls and women in performance science, with the first award to researcher and former pro athlete Katie Rainsberger.

A statewide collaboration with VOICEINSPORT, Indiana Sports Corp, and Women’s Fund of Central Indiana brings 100+ experts, educational wellness group sessions and research-backed daily content to girls in Indiana public schools.

"I just feel like I can help out a lot of girls and women," Gray told For The Win. "I feel like I'm a positive person. I've been through a lot. I'm pretty sure what they've gone through mentally and physically on the court, I can help them feel comfortable and overcome it."

In addition to bringing 50,000 girls into the Voice in Sport ecosystem in the first year of the partnership, the organization provided more than 140 group mentorship sessions about topics like body image, mental health, and nutrition with 12 athlete mentors representing each team in the league.

Now, thanks to a partnership with the WNBA Changemakers, 100,000 girls between the ages of 13 and 23 will have access to mentorship over the next two years. Female athletes across that age range regularly meet with WNBA athletes and pick their brains about a wide range of topics. including mental health, body image, nutrition, confidence, and finding your identity outside of sport, among others.

The initiative’s pledge to keep girls in sports and help create new leadership pathways reached over 50,000 in its first year. Now with a deepening focus on the issues at hand such as lack of access to role models and experts, the collective aims to double that impact and reach 100,000 girls.

Yesterday, the WNBA and its Changemaker Collective — a group of community-focused brands — extended a key partnership with women-focused digital platform Voice in Sport (VIS). By collaborating with VIS, the W and its partners are able to reach a passionate Gen Z and Gen Alpha fanbase that’s looking to stay involved in basketball, both as players and fans.

The initiative, which mentored 50,000 young women in 2024, aims to double its impact, reaching 100,000 participants in the second year.
