Double European Indoor champion, World Indoor champion and 4 time British national champion Perri Shakes Drayton talks about the ups and downs of her long career in the athletics world. From signing her first contract at the young age of 16 to competing in multiple World and European championships, she was on top until she suffered a terrible knee injury in 2013 at the World Championship finals. However, after 4 years of rehabilitation, journaling, and hard work, Perri was able to make it back to the World Championships in 2017 and earn a silver medal. Perri talks about the struggles she had with body image, starting at a young age and continuing through her career and injury. After an amazing career, Perri decided to stop running and start a family, becoming a mom to her new son.
