VOICEINSPORT and WHOOP launch Hi-VIS BLUE™ band in honor of the 50th Anniversary of Title IX

WHOOP partners with VOICEINSPORT (VIS), and 50 athletes and VIS Experts to empower girls with the knowledge to better understand their bodies through an exclusive VIS bandwhere a portion of proceeds from every sale will go directly towards funding a girl in sport with a VOICEINSPORT membership.

(NEW YORK CITY) April 19th, 2022 - In honor of the 50th Anniversary of Title IX, VOICEINSPORT, a global sports company, announces the launch of the limited edition WHOOP x VOICEINSPORT band in partnership with WHOOP, the human performance company. The Hi-VIS BLUE™ band embellished with the VIS name is compatible with WHOOP 4.0, a personalized digital fitness and health coach, and serves as a call to action to support women and girls in sport. A portion of the proceeds from every band will go directly towards funding VOICEINSPORT memberships. 

The launch of the WHOOP x VOICEINSPORT band kicks off a collaborative campaign led by 50 women athletes, VIS Experts and VIS Creators from across the sports industry where they will share stories about their experiences in sport with sleep, recovery, periods and more on the VOICEINSPORT digital platform. 

Women athletes, VIS League mentors and VIS Experts involved in the collaboration include Team USA T&F member Colleen Quigley, WNBA player Elizabeth Williams, Team Canada T&F member Maddy Price, Professional Runner Allie Ostrander, Olympic Swimmer Lia Neal, Team USA Skier Nina O’Brien, Icelandic CrossFit athletes  Annie Thorisdottir and Katrin Davidsdottir, LPGA Golfers Nelly Korda and Jess Korda,Team USA bobsledder Lauren Gibbs, 2021 Fittest American Woman Haley Adams, Dr. Stacy Sims,  WHOOP VP of Performance Science Kristen Holmes, and more.

VOICEINSPORT, which serves as a safe platform where young girls can access mentorship from pro athletes, clinical and non clinical sessions with sport psychologists and nutritionists and content written specifically for them and their needs. But VOICEINSPORT is doing more than offering services to girls on their platform. Girls that join the VOICEINSPORT community have the opportunity to join the VIS Advocate Program - a leadership program for girls in High School and College where they learn about Title IX, evaluate their school and identify 3 things to positively change.

The WHOOP x VOICEINSPORT band is a symbol of an ongoing partnership between these organizations to provide girls with knowledge on how to understand their body better through training, recovery, and sleep. Chronic sleep deprivation has been correlated with a 68% greater risk of sport-related injury, while longer time spent asleep and longer time spent in REM/SWS sleep are both positively correlated with next-day performance, both cognitive and physical. VOICEINSPORT

VOICEINSPORT provides young women from ages 13 to 26 access to exclusive educational content written by current women athletes, along with mentorship from 150 collegiate and professional athletes, and live, virtual sessions with over 80 of the top experts in sport science, sports nutrition, and sports psychology. Members include sport nutritionists such as Angie Asche, Dr. Stacy Sims and NancyClark; sport science researchers such as Dr. Emily Kraus, Megan Roche, Dr. Allison Brager; sport psychologists like Nicole Detling, Kimberly O’Brien, and athletes such as Colleen Quigley, Rosie Brennan, Lydia Jacoby and more.

To enter the giveaway VIS members must sign up for one or all three of the MORE VIS SPEAKER SERIES sessions and 7 winners will be announced during each session. (Applicants must be a women athlete ages between 13 & 26 and in attendance at the session to win).
