Warming Up in the Cold

As the temperatures drop, properly preparing our bodies for outdoor training or competition becomes essential in preventing injuries and optimizing performance. Cold weather impacts our bodies in several crucial ways. It makes it more difficult for our muscles to stay warm, which requires us to spend more time warming up. If not properly warmed, muscles and joints may tighten due to contractions, which can cause physical discomfort and can lead to injury.
